Max Wyrtles is a new edition to the downtown Austin rooftop bar scene. Upscale and bougie, you’ll notice it as soon as you walk in the lobby on San Jac or the private elevator entrance off 5th st.
On the 4th floor, you’ll walk into the indoor portion of the bar where you can lounge with larger groups or head outside where there’s an assortment of smaller tables, cabanas, and day beds all available for reservations.
The terrace has a gorgeous view of the frost building and the nooks and crannies of the rooftop layout makes this a harder venue for larger events, but a great spot for an intimate date.
At $16/cocktail roughly, the drinks are strong and well crafted and feel like a relative deal for the vibe of the hotel and the rising Austin prices.
Switch your cocktail glass for a plastic one if you’re headed to the pool, but kick back and enjoy. You’re going to like this one.
